Show Off Sports
Show Off Sports is a sports and multimedia focused social network. SOS was started to allow Players, Teams, Leagues, Events, Organizers, Family and Friends to be able to creatively and expressively make their sports be more fun. We want to be the solution for questions like:
• Where to organize, securely store and share personal still and video footage of athletic events? How does an athlete gain attention to take their game to the next level?
• How does a league or event organizer maintain an interactive, value-added website with low upkeep and at a low cost?
• Most Parents, Coaches, Schools and Leagues do NOT have the time, money or knowledge to organize homepages and websites or even functional, valuable websites. How does one do this?
Sports and Multimedia is our life here so we want to allow you, the users, to be able to have a virtual scrapbook, a virtual resume and, if needed, a virtual agent so that you can get the most out of your sports and cameras. Video gets better and cheaper by the day and SOS wants to help you share with those you want to share it with. Have fun and Just Show Off!!
Chip Cathey, CEO
Chip is a sports fanatic, athlete and multi-talented entrepreneur. He has held key positions in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development and Finance in public and private companies such as GTE, Qwest Communications and SignalSoft Corporation (now Openwave Systems). Chip has been participating in startups beginning with his neighborhood lemonade stand to one of the nation’s earliest WiFi startups. Chip holds an MBA in Finance and an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a BA from the University of Virginia. Chip played football as a linebacker at UVa for the Division I football team, club lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. An avid surfer, snowboarder, golfer, lacrosse player, and softball player, Chip is still a Denver pro sports, football and lacrosse fanatic.
